sure signs you have (or are) a good friend
Am I a good friend? That’s a great introspective, self-aware kinda question! To find the answer, you could do what any sensible person would do—take a bunch of online quizzes and see if the internet thinks you’re a good friend. (I was everything from a “BFF” to a “just-okay friend.”) OR you could ask yourself this question: “What am I looking for in a friend?”A good friend:
1. shows up. 2. lets you be yourself… 3. … while helping you be your best self. 4. is self-aware. 5. is empathetic. 6. is trustworthy. 7. is fun, introduces you to new experiences, and helps you grow. What you are looking for in a friend — be that person! Being a good friend and having good friends are two essential things in life.what we're lovin'
This week's picks come from Mitchell Qualls, husband of 17 years to his wife Dalet, a dad of 2, and the VP of Operations here at First Things First. Take a peek at his recommendations for this week because they are just THAT GOOD. Check 'em out 👀:
💡 A new favorite in our household is the Greenlight App. Greenlight helps parents raise financially-smart kids. Kids get a debit card that parents control. They can set savings goals and determine how much to spend and how much to give away. Our kids love being able to spend their own money.
⚡ Our kids love board games (we do too)! We love Clue and Harry Potter, so what’s better than Harry Potter Clue? It’s a classic game with a few twists, including moving staircases.
😴 Bedtime can sometimes be a challenge. Our kids have fallen asleep so much better with the help of Moshi. It’s a storytelling app with loads of stories to help them calm their minds. But that’s not all. There are also meditations, calming and breathing exercises.
