RESET

The RESET Marriage Program for Firefighter couples aims to address the many challenges that are specific to first responders and their families.
Created by Brad (a Chattanooga Firefighter) and Lydia Freeman (a life coach with a Bachelor's degree in Child and Family Studies) out of their desire to invest in, support, and help strengthen firefighter relationships and marriages, RESET strengthens these couples with marriage retreats, date nights, and access to counseling and coaching services.
Firefighters and their partners face unique pressures—long shifts, missed holidays, trauma exposure, physical exhaustion, and emotional carryover from the job. Over time, those pressures can quietly wear down even the healthiest relationships.
This is for you if you're looking for:
- Date Nights to rebuild connection
- Workshops and retreats to grow together
- Access to counseling and coaching services
RESET offers free, confidential relationship coaching for firefighters and their partners. Coaching provides practical tools to improve communication, manage conflict, and stay connected through the realities of this career—whether things feel steady or strained.
Upcoming Events
Grow Wild
What do water guns, spaghetti noodles, and plants all have in common? You'll find out at Grow Wild - a RESET Date Night!
Join us for a fun, hands-on evening at Crabtree Farms, where we'll dig into what plants can teach us about strong relationships. You'll leave with your own plant as a reminder that what you nurture, grows.
The 25th Hour Retreat
Step away from the noise. Make space for each other.
Whether you’re married, engaged, or have been doing life side-by-side for years, being a firefighter couple comes with a rhythm all its own. This one-day RESET retreat is an opportunity to slow down, reconnect, and invest in the relationship that matters when the gear comes off and you’re home together.
